Becoming a world-class performance coach
Rik has an extensive background as a world-class performance coach. Building the foundation way back in 2003 while studying a BSc in Exercise and Health Science. This wasn’t enough for Rik though, and part of his continued personal development saw him once again back at university. This time studying for an MSc in Strength and Conditioning, which he completed in 2012.

It was during the 3 years studying for the MSc that Rik secured a scholarship with Salford City Reds RFL and was appointed as Strength and Conditioning Coach, working with the Academy.
This role was further extended to support the first team conditioning coaches. During this time studying Rik also secured Strength and Conditioning Coaching roles with England Lacrosse and Manchester City Ladies FC. Further compounding his extensive knowledge and experience with elite athletes.
Furthermore, in 2010 Rik landed a Lead Performance Coaching role working with Team GB’s British Weightlifting Squad.
